How Yin Yoga can help hormone balance 

Hormone balance is deeply connected to the food we eat, too much or too little exercise, the toxins we absorb, the excess weight we carry, the lack of quality sleep, and the stress levels we are put through just living our daily lives.

Hormonal imbalance issues like adrenal fatigue and estrogen dominance are becoming more and more prominent in women of all ages due to high levels of chronic stress, crash diets, exposure to synthetic hormones in birth control, non-organic meat, soy-based products and dairy, as well as chemicals in our foods, cosmetics, beauty products, and day-to-day lives.

Our neuroendocrine system (pituitary, pineal, and hypothalamus glands), is our body’s hormonal control system and reads signals from our nervous system about how to behave.

When you combine Traditional Chinese Medicine/acupuncture methodology with yin yoga, you can start to see how different shapes stimulate different meridians (energy lines), in the body, as well as different glands and organs.
